TOPIC: Bug: Wrong Date in emailed reports

Bug: Wrong Date in emailed reports 2 years 1 week ago #290

Joomla v3.3.3/ExtraWatch v2.3.2148 PRO

The date in the Subject field of a scheduled ExtraWatch Report is wrong by one day in the Email header.
The date in the content of the ExtraWatch Report is also wrong by one day.

I cannot provide these incorrect ExtraWatch Reports to my client to show activity on their website.

Please correct this as soon as possible.

See attached files.

Hi,
email reports are always from the previous day. They are sent on midnight and summarizing the day before and all the values. What's wrong with that?
If the email report would have been sent on the noon, it won't contain total values for that day cause new visits may still come in.

As expected, the report date is wrong. See the attached files. Please explain how email reports generated at Tue, Oct 14, 2014 12:03 am as stated in the email delivery header can be Titled: ExtraWatch report - 12.10.2014 in both the email header field and in the report.

As I mentioned earlier, simply cannot use these reports to provide statistics to my clients.
Please explain.

Hi,
this is the code line responsible for that date in subject of email report:

$date = ExtraWatchDate::date("d.m.Y", ExtraWatchDate::getUserTimestamp() - 24 * 3600);

One possibility is, that you don't have correct user timestamp set in your joomla

ExtraWatchDate::getUserTimezone()

Could you please create a temporary FTP account (for components/com_extrawatch folder only) in a private support ticket? I think that I've found a possible problem but I'd like to apply the patch on your version of extrawatch to make sure it works.

Thank you
