STOP USING THIS P.O.S. 1 year 8 months ago #588

The queries aren't well written and there are unsafe inserts being made constantly. Also, there are tons of free enterprise level analytics softwares out there. Dummys!

Hi, please give us an example which queries are not written well and which of them are unsafe.
ExtraWatch was audited by Cyber Kryption company and they have issued a security certificate.

Could you please name tons of that analytics softwares out there? We can give users an option to use them as well.

Hi, thank you for your reply. Where are you getting that errors and which hosting provider has this somehow enabled? What I found is this:

"MySQL doesn't log invalid/failed queries anywhere."
stackoverflow.com/questions/4631133/mysq...g-of-invalid-queries

After that I found out, that in NEW version of mysql there is this config parameter added: error_log_verbosity

www.tocker.ca/2013/12/09/the-mysql-error-log-in-mysql-5-7.html

Most of web hosting services are not using 5.7 yet, or did not in the past. I'll try to change this verbosity value to see what's in the error log then.

Because currently there are only messages about start and stop of the mysql server

I would appreciate more info on this from your side so that we can take actions from our side so that all queries which were potentially identified as erroneous will be fixed

Thank you!

Of course there is a log.

SET GLOBAL general_log = 'ON';

dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-log.html

They're protected because they contain passwords.
But that forum post is half right, I'm talking about the mysqld log that only logs unsafe queries or critical errors.

I am a hosting provider and I run Mariadb 10 on my servers.
I can't post the logs from my customers here sorry.

Hi,
sure, I don't want you to expose any passwords or share any private data.

Anyway, thanks for further info, I'm going to check which queries are causing that and get rid of any potential errors.

In version 2.4 which is currently being developed, we've started using Doctrine ORM so there will be no manually written queries and object-relational-mapping engine would translate everything into SQL
